Professional Interests

Nichol has worked in the mental health field for about 10 years in a variety of settings, most recently in residential treatment settings.  Her focus has been on trauma, addiction, eating disorders, pain, and mood disorders which have given her a wealth of knowledge and understanding.  In her master's program, she focused on intergenerational trauma due to the forced boarding school systems and learned the huge impact on families and communities. Nichol uses a cultural approach of strength-based and trauma-focused.

Personal Interests

Nichol spends as much time with her family when she can.  She loves to travel and has yet to travel outside the US.  Nichol likes to be active. She has run 4 half-marathons and can usually be found in a Zumba class.  Nichol credits her spirituality for grounding her when times get tough and helping her find a balance in life.
