Outreach & Education
University Outreach and Education
CAPS offers training, education, and outreach to the UA community. We regularly participate in UA events and partner with campus resources like the cultural and resource centers, Housing and Res Life, and Campus Rec to provide educational events and mental health screenings. CAPS professionals and students involved in the Mindful Ambassadors program also provide workshops and presentations across campus.
If you'd like to request a CAPS presentation (in-person or virtual) or to have a CAPS staff member present at your event, please click on the link below and fill out the request form. If you need additional information prior to completing the form, please call us at 520-621-3334 and ask to speak with our Outreach Coordinator about your options.
Please note that presentation and tabling requests require 3-4 weeks advance notice. An exception to this timeframes may be taken into consideration and depend upon the availability of CAPS staff. Our availability is limited after-hours and on weekends.
From anxiety coping skills and stress management to trauma response and everything in between, CAPS providers have a wealth of knowledge around all things college mental health. For other ideas, see the Living Wild mental health articles written by the CAPS counselors. If you'd like to interview a member of the CAPS team, please call (520) 621-3334.
Please note that interview requests require 2 weeks advance notice. An exception to this timeframes may be taken into consideration and depend upon the availability of CAPS staff.
