RIO is a mindfulness-based workshop for finding mental calm and clarity.
The three sessions of RIO are divided into content that builds upon itself. The sessions include modules dedicated to:
- helping you gain a deeper understanding of your thoughts and feelings
- creating flexibility in how you view and approach these issues
- helping you take steps toward feeling more capable of managing strong thoughts and feelings
By the end of the workshop, you will have a better sense of your personal values and how you want to focus your energy.
RIO Schedule
RIO will be offered over Zoom at the following times:
- Friday 10/11, 10/18, 10/25 at 2pm
- Tuesday 10/15, 10/22, 10/29 at 2pm
- Wednesday 10/16, 10/23, 10/30 at 10am
- Monday 10/28, 11/4, 11/18 at 2pm
- Wednesday 10/30, 11/6, 11/13 at 4pm
- Tuesday 10/8, 10/15, 10/22 at 5pm
- Friday 11/1, 11/8, 11/15 at 3pm
- Tuesday 11/19, 11/26, 12/3 at 5pm
- Wednesday 12/4, 12/11, 12/18 at 4pm
How to Join RIO
Workshops are available to all enrolled students!
There are lots of ways to join! You can:
- Complete our workshop sign-up form online.
- Call us at 520-621-3334
- Or, schedule a brief meeting with a counselor or care coordinator
- Or, if you are already connected to CAPS services, just let your counselor know that you'd like to join.
How Workshops Work
- CAPS workshops are currently meeting online by HIPAA-compliant video conference.
- You can attend more than one workshop series at a time.
- Workshops are free.
- Workshops meet for three 50-minute sessions. Workshop participants will receive a digital workbook from the facilitator via secure message.
- To get the complete experience, students must come to each session on time.
- You have an option to reassess your needs at completion of the workshop series.
