Hi, I'm Colin (he, him, his), one of your externs at CAPS.
About me:
- I identify as queer, cis man, and white. I speak English.
- I'm in the Clinical Psychology PhD program at UArizona.
- My hometown is Santa Barbara, CA.
- I am the graduate advisor for the University of Arizona chapter of Active Minds.
- I aspire to be the director of an integrative queer mental health clinic.
- I love traveling and spending time outdoors. I enjoy hiking and backpacking, road cycling, cooking, and supporting small businesses.
My professional background and interests:
I value meeting people where they are on their journey toward wellness. I seek to integrate my training in clinical work and research with my community-supported understanding of social justice to create a safe and supportive therapeutic environment. Some of the areas of mental health I'm interested in include anxiety disorders, LGBTQ+ issues, family and relationship issues, and adjustment.
