Hi, I'm Erica, your site-based counselor with Fostering Success. Fostering Success is a community that serves University of Arizona undergraduates who have experienced foster care, housing insecurity or homelessness, and/or participate in Youth On Their Own (YOTO).
Here's How I Can Help:
I provide free mental health consultation appointments, workshops, and short-term counseling services for students enrolled in the Fostering Success program.
What to Expect
Consultation is a great starting place if you are: Wondering what, if any, mental health services might be for you, have questions but are uncertain who to ask, want to address a challenge but don’t know where to start, would like to identify wellness tools that support your goals, are seeking support with problem-solving, or are curious about on & off-campus resources available to you.
I also offer individual single-session and short-term counseling, drop-in hours, information about campus and community resources, and groups and workshops as needed by the program.
My Counseling Approach
I provide inclusive mental health services that are trauma-informed, student-centered, and solution-focused. I understand that transitioning to college is difficult for everyone in different ways. I strive to be a landing place for students where they can think out loud, engage in self-exploration, get feedback, and/or learn tools that support personal and professional goals.
