Learn the Skills to Stay in Balance

The goal of Balance Point is to equip you with what you need to better balance your life - to better understand yourself and your boundaries, to learn how to accept when difficult things happen in your life and to make room for changes you want to create.

Balance Point Modules

Life Skills come from the following 4 Modules which are taught over 9 weeks: 

  1. Mindfulness Skills: developing self-awareness (9/20 & 9/27)
  2. Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills: balancing your own needs and those of other people in your life (10/4 & 10/11)
  3. Emotion Regulation Skills: decreasing negative emotions & generating positive ones (10/18 & 10/25)
  4. Distress Tolerance Skills: getting through difficult times (11/1, 11/8 & 11/15)    

Group Meeting Details

  • The Balance Point meets Fridays 1-2 pm over Zoom starting 9/20. A Zoom link will be provided by the group facilitator.

  • Cost: Free
  • Enrollment is required.

How to Join

  • A referral from a CAPS provider is required to join this group. You call attend all sessions or attend just one of the four modules. New group members can join at the start of any module. Ask your current CAPS provider how to join or speak with a counselor to get started.
